OPENING DETAILS

We are currently closed for the winter season apart from our ticketed events – ‘The Sleepers’ at Halloween and The Santa Express.

We are open from 12 noon to 6pm, Wednesday to Sunday during April, May and September.

We are open 7 days per week through June, July and August with extended hours of 11am to 6pm every day.

Buffers garden tea rooms is open every day that the park is open plus for select evening events.

We are taking orders for 2020 Seasonal and Gold Passes. Please visit the Passes page or call to order yours on 074 91 73068.

Car parking available. Toilet facilities with Baby Changing unit provided.  Picnic Tables and Swings are available.

There is partial access for wheelchairs. We have a train carriage suitable for wheelchairs.  The main roadways and many of the paths through gardens are accessible by wheelchair.

The house is not open to the public at any time.

Wedding nuptials, receptions and wedding photo sessions are accommodated when pre-booked with the Estate Manager.  Fees apply.

Dogs on a lead are permitted but please lift droppings from paths and lawns.  Cycling, Ball Games, BBQ’s and flying Drones is not permitted in the gardens.

Whilst every effort is taken to ensure the safety of our visitors, parents and guardians must ensure that children are supervised at all times when in Oakfield Park – we cannot take responsibility for this. Trains don’t stop quickly, there are many rough walkways and deep water in many locations around the grounds.

  • Head out of Raphoe, on William Street towards Derry / Strabane (R236).
  • Turn first right onto Lifford Road, R264 before the Mart. (Signposted)
  • Take the first left (L2374) opposite Raphoe Hardware. (Signposted)
  • Proceed for approx. 1.1km. Carpark on the right after gatehouse.

Directions from Letterkenny

  • Take N14 from Letterkenny towards Lifford & Strabane for approx.16km.
  • Pass the turning for Raphoe (R236) (Signposted)
  • Take next right at Drumbeg (L2374) signposted for Oakfield Park.
  • Proceed for approx. 1.7km. Carpark on the Left.

Directions from Strabane & Lifford

  • Take N14 from Lifford towards Letterkenny for approx. 8km,
  • Take left turn at Drumbeg (L2374) signposted for Oakfield Park.
  • Proceed for approx. 1.7km. Carpark on the Left.

Directions from Derry
(via Bridgend & Burt)

  • Take N13 towards Letterkenny via Bridgend & Burt.
  • At the Manorcunningham roundabout take the first exit onto the N14 towards Lifford & Strabane.
  • Pass the turning for Raphoe (R236)
  • Take next right at Drumbeg (L2374) signposted for Oakfield.
  • Proceed for approx. 1.7km. Carpark on the Left.

  • Take A40 & R236 via Carrigans & St. Johnston heading for Raphoe.
  • At the N14 turn left towards Lifford & Strabane.
