After a jam-packed season of Teddy Bear’s Picnics, outdoor theatre events, and our first family festival, Oakfest, we are delighted to be opening our doors for this weekend only, as part of a special collaboration with Wainfest Children’s Literature Festival.
A must for Muggles everywhere, our Harry Potter Experience is happening all weekend at Oakfield Park. Come dressed as your favourite characters, take a ride on the Hogwart’s Express, making sure to avoid the Dementors and Nearly Headless Nick as you go!
You’ll even get the chance to play a refereed game of Quidditch on Donegal’s first Quidditch pitch, with brooms, hoops, quaffles, bludgers and a snitch all thrown in for good measure!
Enjoy free Harry Potter themed crafts, watch Harry Potter movies in Buffers and listen to the Mable’s Fables storyteller read your favourite book. Feast on Harry Potter themed candies and sample some Butter Beer or treat yourself to a delicious lunch in Buffers restaurant, which will be suitably decked out for the occasion.
There is no booking required for this event and no additional cost; just entry to the park as normal, (adults: €8, children: €5 and under 3’s go free), while train rides cost €5 for adults, €3 for children and under 3’s go free. The park is open 12pm – 6pm and the event runs throughout the day.
A not-to-be-missed Harry Potter Weekend!
