Oakfield Park is a wonderful place to escape with family and friends. This beautiful landscape of parkland, woodlands, lakes and formal gardens has something for all the family, no matter what the weather! One of the best ways to experience the park all summer is with Oakfield Park’s Annual and Gold Passes, but numbers are limited, so here’s a few reasons why you should get your hands on one before it’s too late:
A Whole Summer to Ramble
June is the perfect time to purchase an Annual or Gold Pass. You have the whole summer to explore Oakfield Park between now and the end of September, which means those who have already purchased their Annual and Gold Passes, can enjoy the park for the entire season at their leisure.
Excellent Value for Money
The Oakfield Park Annual and Gold Passes offer unbeatable value for money. The passes include ticketed events including Teddy Bear’s Picnic and special weekend events like our Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland experiences. They also make the ideal family gift for the outdoor enthusiasts, gardeners, little explorers and train lovers in your life. Give someone you love the gift of a summer of unforgettable memories.
Escape from Screen Time
Oakfield Park is a wonderful place for children of all ages to escape the TV and screen time trap. Let their imaginations run wild amid the gardens and parklands. Children can make a wish at Oakfield Park’s Faerie tree, while navigating their way through extensive walks and trails. For Gold Pass holders, the park’s steam train operates daily so you can enjoy unlimited train rides.
Dog Lovers’ Paradise
Dog lovers are always on the lookout for beautiful places to walk their dogs and Oakfield Park is a dog lovers’ paradise. All dogs must be on a lead (and, naturally, owners must clean up after their pets, so the walkways and parklands remain pristine and beautiful for everyone to enjoy).
Your Pass to Summer….
Picnics, parklands and a pass to a summer like no other. Oakfield Park’s Annual and Gold Pass holders will get to explore everything Oakfield Park has to offer this summer, including walled gardens, ponds, lakes, a lakeside Nymphaeum, heritage trees, sculptures, hedge maze and the park’s new train sculpture. School is out and the summer awaits, so make sure 2019 is the year you get outdoors and enjoy every minute of our wonderful Donegal landscape.
What Others are Saying…
But don’t just take our word for it…check out this recent review which perfectly encapsulates what Oakfield Park is all about….
“This is fast becoming my favourite place to spend my day off. The park is so peaceful and beautifully kept, I have been a few times now and every time I go I find something new. I love the lower garden however there is something very special about the upper gardens, almost like being transcended back in time. I love taking a flask and a book and sitting reading listen to the trees blowing. There is something for everyone, little play park for the kids while you have a beautiful lunch or just sitting enjoying a glass of wine in the garden, a 2k walking route taking in all the surprises in the lower garden or for me the silence and elegance of centuries ago in the upper garden. My only negative is that it’s going to become a top Donegal tourist spot and we will have to share. I am very proud to tell everyone about this hidden gem. Truly very special in every way”.
