As part of National Heritage Week 2019, we are holding a very special “Pastimes Past Times” event here in Oakfield Park. On Saturday 24th of August the park will be open from 11am to 6pm as normal but we will also welcome The Duggan Sisters and their brand of Traditional Music. Children will be able to play games from times gone by including hopscotch, capball, croquet, and coits. Children and adults alike can take a ride on the narrow gauge heritage railway and enjoy local and homemade food in Buffers restaurant.
This Sunday is Steam Sunday, where the heritage continues. Our steam train, and the only one in Donegal, The Duchess of Difflin will be running throughout the day. Sunday lunches will be served in Buffers and all 100 acres will be open for exploration.
